What is LifeCare?
LifeCare at Wyndemere gives you a home for life and care for life. In addition to your independent living residence and access to community services and amenities, you have priority access to assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation, as long as you need them – for life.
With our LifeCare® Choice program, you and your family enjoy true peace of mind. You receive unlimited access to our highly rated on-site health care, when you need it, at essentially the same monthly fee. With our fee-for-service plan, you pay for health services as you need and use them.
What does LifeCare at Wyndemere cost?
There are two main costs at Wyndemere – an entrance payment and a monthly service fee. They depend on the size and style of residence you choose. For couples, there is a second-person cost added monthly.
The entrance payment is basically comparable to average area home values. To help protect your nest egg, we offer two Return-of-Capital™ plans. Our LifeCare option refunds at least 75% of your entrance payment, while our fee-for-service plan refunds 85% of it.
Remember, with LifeCare, use of our on-site health center is covered for life. It includes independent living through all levels of care and support. The predictable fee allows you to plan for and control future health care costs. With our fee-for-service plan, you pay for care as you go.
Your monthly service fee covers most of your living expenses, including dining, housekeeping, maintenance, utilities, and access to all community amenities.
To fully understand the fees, be sure to discuss them with a sales counselor early in your research. Also, consult your tax advisor. You may receive a tax benefit for moving to a Life Plan Community.
LifeCare is a great option for couples, both practically and financially.
If your spouse needs care and you don’t, you can stay in your independent living residence while your spouse moves to a higher level of care. You don’t pay for two residences; nor do you need to move in with your spouse.
You just pay for two extra meals per day and any individual charges outside of your room and board. That’s why the true value of LifeCare is peace of mind. Your costs are predictable and don’t increase significantly even if your or your spouse’s health needs change.
We guarantee your satisfaction.
Of course, above all, we want you to be happy at Wyndemere. We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If, after four months of residency you’re not completely satisfied, we’ll return 100% of your entrance payment.
