Aimee brings over 20 years of long-term care experience to Wyndemere and oversees its operations. Her main focus is maintaining a high level of resident satisfaction and team member engagement, while also ensuring the community continues its financial viability and operational efficiency. She’s been with Wynscape since 2008 and currently serves on several advisory groups to support health centers managed by Life Care Services across the United States.

Doreen Skoney was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, primarily in the Elk Grove Village and Schaumburg area. She spent the last 30 years living in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, area, and recently moved back to Illinois to be closer to family.
Doreen’s previous role was sales and marketing director at Trinity Terrace, a continuing care retirement community in Fort Worth, Texas. She joined that community in 2014 when they were starting presales of a new tower, adding 78 additional independent living apartments. Doreen led the marketing team that successfully exceeded all sales goals to achieve 100% presales within the first year of selling.
Doreen has 10 years of experience as a marketing director in the skilled nursing and senior living industries. She also held a position as retention manager, where she developed and managed a team of account executives with a collection agency that specialized in the cable and telecommunications industry.
She’s served as Granbury Chamber Ambassador; chairman, Granbury Business Development Network; Granbury Leadership Alumni; and is a member of the Lions Club. Doreen attended Weatherford College and Western Governors University.
Kelly plans and coordinates all daily activities, trips and outings. She also oversees our Wyndemere and Westbridge fitness programs, transportation, spiritual offerings, newsletter and calendar as well as monthly wellness lectures and support groups offered by other departments. She was the director of activities at Mayslake Village for five years and has been at Wyndemere since 2007. Kelly has a background in special education and experience working with adults with special needs. She’s certified through the National Parks and Recreation Association as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional.
For the past 5 years Alan has been the Culinary Director at Beacon Hill in Lombard. He decided to enter the senior living arena after his mother moved into a community in Pittsburgh. Alan said, “They are taking such great care of my mom, I need to take care of someone else’s mom”. Alan brings a wealth of experience in Food and Beverage. Prior to Beacon Hill Alan worked on a project converting the old Villa Olivia Country Club into a Bartlett Park District facility which included a restaurant, full-service bar, casual café, catering, and golf course. Alan was also the General Manager for the Woman’s Athletic Club, a private 1,000-member club in Chicago that featured elegant fine dining, café, private member dining throughout the club, rooftop terrace dining and catered events. Additionally, he was on the opening team for Navy Pier as the General Manager of Pier Management Services and he started the Events Management Department at the Brookfield Zoo. He also owned his own Private Chef Service for many years. Alan lives in Downers Grove with his spouse and two dogs: Andy a Bloodhound and Tom, a Basset Hound. He spends his free time renovating and restoring his 100 year old home
Katie Patzelt previously served as a Health Center Administrator for Life Care Services at Laurel Circle in Bridgewater, New Jersey in which she oversaw the skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care neighborhoods.
Katie was born and raised in Naperville, IL and attended Clemson University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. She went on to complete Life Care Services professional development program and then became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Minnesota. Katie prides herself on bringing fresh ideas, an inquisitive mind, willingness to learn to any new opportunity.
Katie has been a wonderful addition to the Wyndemere Senior Living Community.
Gretchen joined Wyndemere in 2019. As the director of human resources, she oversees all aspects of the department, including recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits and performance management. With over 25 years of human resources experience, Gretchen worked in a variety of organizations and industries prior to joining Wyndemere. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Butler University and her master’s degree in human resources management from the University of Minnesota.
Jeff oversees all areas of our accounting and finance department: billing, accounting, accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivable. Prior to joining Wyndemere in 2010, Jeff was in financial services/corporate accounting at Central DuPage Hospital for 11 years. Jeff has an MBA from Northern Illinois University.
Steve joined Wyndemere in 2006 and is in charge of campus maintenance, public safety, environmental services, emergency preparedness, capital planning and project management. Prior to joining Wyndemere, he worked in operations management and logistics for retail distribution, manufacturing and customer service.
Drew comes to Wyndemere with 20 years of healthcare experience specializing in geriatrics, urology, and gastroenterology. During his time in geriatrics, he helped to build and grow a geriatric medical practice. He went on to specialize in the areas of urology and helped to open another medical practice related to gastroenterology. He also has several years of teaching experience at the college level.
The area of healthcare he enjoys the most is in senior living, where he has worked for the last decade. Drew has been most recently working as the Nursing Services Manager at a local Assisted Living. Drew enjoys sharing his knowledge with residents, family members, health care associates and students.
